Welcome to the Clinch County Tax Commissioner's Website.

The Tax Commissioner is elected by the voters for a four-year term. The Tax Commissioner is responsible for submitting the annual tax digest, mailing out property tax bills and motor vehicle tag pre-bills to county residents. Other responsibilities of the Tax Commissioner include:

  • Collecting all County, Board of Education, Development Authority, Hospital Authority, State, property, timber, and intangible taxes.
  • Receiving tax exemption applications.
  • Issuing executions against delinquent taxpayers.
  • Selling county and city motor vehicle license plates.
  • Transferring vehicle titles.
  • Issuing county and city mobile home tag decals.

We are closed from 12:00pm-1:00pm for lunch.
